Grandstream Announces Beta Test of a New DECT Headset and Base Station

– Grandstream, connecting the world since 2002 with award-winning SIP unified communication solutions, today announced the release of a new multi-line DECT VoIP Base Station and cordless DECT CAT-iq handset for testing by the Grandstream Beta Club. Grandstream will be accepting applications for the beta test of this new DECT mobility solution from November 15 – 29, 2018. To apply, please go to betaclub.grandstream.com.

For this new beta test, the Grandstream Beta Club is looking for testers experienced with DECT VoIP telephones and those who like to dig in and experiment with new products. Ideal applicants are those who have hands-on experience with IP phones and/or DECT IP phones from major VoIP manufacturers.

The new DECT VoIP solution being released to the Grandstream Beta Club is a new multi-line DECT VoIP base station and HD cordless DECT CAT-iq handset combination. This new VoIP DECT base station features enhanced antenna design with excellent RF performance and large coverage range when used with DP730 (up to 400 meters outdoor and up to 50 meters indoor), secure pairing with up to 5 HD cordless DECT handsets via advanced encryption technology, up to 10 SIP accounts, 5 concurrent calls and 3-way audio conferencing. The new cordless DECT CAT-iq handset features HD audio, 2.4” 240x320 color LCD with 3 programmable soft keys, a dedicated push-to-talk button, built-in proximity and accelerometer sensors, an integrated 1500mAh rechargeable battery with up to 40-hour talk time or 500-hour standby time, headset jack, belt clip, and 1.2-meter drop-safe durability. This DECT solution also supports network phonebooks and software upgrades over-the-air.

75 sets of the DECT handset and DECT base station combo will be available for shipping to selected Beta Club members by early December 2018. If selected for this Beta test opportunity, participants will receive one DECT CAT-iq handset and one DECT VoIP Base Station. Program Availability & Pricing
Each product Beta test released through the Grandstream Beta Club will have limited quantities of beta test units available. Application to the Grandstream Beta Club is FREE. Selection of participants will be determined by Grandstream based on applicant qualification. The cost to participate in a beta test will be $1 to cover handling, however the product model and shipping will be free of charge for each selected beta tester. There is no charge to applicants who are not selected for a Beta test.
